Girl Effect Live
Girl Effect Live – Village Underground/ Vibe Bar/ Dray Walk Gallery/ Loading Bay, East London – 20 July 2014
Role: Event Producer
Brief: Since 2008, The Nike Foundation has been lobbying governments to invest in the potential of girls in the developing world, and help break the cycle of global poverty. They call this the Girl Effect. Our challenge was to deliver the Girl Effect message in a way that people not only understood, but also felt compelled to add their voice to. This was an inspirational project and a momentous challenge.
Solution: Throughout the day the Girl Effect was celebrated in true London style with a carefully curated programme built around three key themes: Opportunity, Safety and Identity. Each venue represented a theme and through both design and technical installations we created a physical identity that reinforced the messaging in each space.
Results: Thanks to an immersive theatrical experience, an art exhibition, workshops, comedy performances, and an evening concert, the festival audience engaged through both traditional conversation and social media channels.
